“No parent should ever have to sue a multibillion-dollar corporation just to keep our kids safe. But you can be damn sure we will when our kids are at risk.
Today’s settlement is a powerful reminder that self-regulation doesn’t work and will never be enough to protect our kids. For years, families have been forced to take on some of the world’s most powerful companies because those companies failed to put children’s safety first. Real accountability and real consequences are the only things that drive meaningful change and help prevent harm before it happens.
To every surviving parent and family who has turned unimaginable grief into action: we hold you deeply in our hearts. Thank you for your courage. Thank you for refusing to give up. Thank you for standing up not only for your own children, but for America’s kids.
The National Parents Union will continue to stand beside families demanding accountability and real protections for children. No company is too big, too powerful, or too profitable to be held accountable when our kids are at stake.”
